This Holum family migrated from
Norway. At this time, I do not know exactly when they arrived in the
United States, or from which port in Norway they embarked. I do know
they had to have emigrated c. mid 1862 - late 1864. Child #2 (Erick)
was born in Norway in March of 1862, but Annie (child #3) was born in
Wisconsin in November 1864. It appears as though they lived in Wisconsin for
no more than a few years. Child #3 (Annie) was born in November of
1864 in Wisconsin and child #4 (Ole) was born in Minnesota in November of
1867. The majority of the Holums in this line either stayed in
Minnesota or migrated to North Dakota.
