Magdaline G. Reif
(July 15, 1921 - June 28, 2011)

Magdaline G. Reif, 89, died June 28, 2011 at Larned Health Care Center, Larned, Kansas. 

She was born July 15, 1921 at Ellinwood, Kansas, the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Wurm) Hirsh. She married Frank J. Reif July 18, 1939 at Ellinwood. He died August 17, 1989. A longtime Claflin, Kansas, resident, Mrs. Reif worked at Ell-Kan, Ellsworth, Kansas, and Fuller Brush, Great Bend, Kansas.

Mrs. Reif was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Claflin.

Survivors include one son, Robert "Bob" Reif, Claflin; one daughter, Donna Mackler, Long Beach, California; two sisters: Mary Jane Gibson, Wichita, Kansas; and Lela Mae Blakely, Wilsonville, Alabama; and two grandchildren: Courtney D'Ovidio and Amy Mackler. 

She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.

Altar Society Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 1, 2011 at the church. Father Reginald A. Urban will officiate. Burial will be in Claflin Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Thursday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the church. 

Memorials are requested to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or the Claflin Ambulance Fund, in care of the funeral home.
